Hinchliffe Stadium

The Hinchliffe Stadium, built in 1932, is the premier destination for all major entertainment events in the City of Paterson. Designed in a unique Art Deco/Mission style architecture it was once the home field of the “NY Black Yankees”.

The Task

The Hinchliffe Stadium was in a state of disrepair for many years and was finally getting the rebuild it deserved. This was the biggest redevelopment project in the history of the city and being one of only a few segregation era African American stadiums left standing it was one of the largest historical renovations in the country. They trusted us to help accurately represent the legacy of the stadium and Paterson. We were contracted by the Hinchliffe Urban Renewal project to create a new brand for this iconic old stadium.

What We Did

We wanted to make something that new generations could be proud of while still keeping the original look & feel of the stadium of old in order to honor the great generations that came before us. We created a whole new image for this classic stadium while staying true to it's roots, developing an entire brand including a Logo, Brand Guide, Website, and Social Media presence.
